Update, My Dad, a member of MCB11, passed away in June of 2017. He was Henry Mallard Knowles.(Chief)EOC.
A few of the many things I learned in life either from or through him.)Only 2 people wears stars in the Navy, Chiefs and Admirals. Everyone has value. You will never have anything until first learn to give.(He gave his all to the CB's). Nothing is worth having that is not worth sharing. Don't waste time trying to polish the trailer hitch on your hearse. Its' God 1st, family 2nd, and business 3rd.(All CB's are family)Integrity trumps honesty. Be a person of Character instead of "A Character". In remembrance of My Dad and in honor of the CB's that gave all so we can have Salute
I was a UT-3 in Quang Tri in 1968. I worked on the base water filtration/storage, the new mess hall, and building hut.
Will be attending the 75th Seabee Ball in Gulfport, March 4. Hope to see some of you there.
